35 Years of Nursing. A Lifetime of Caring.

I have spent my career helping people navigate vulnerable, complicated moments. Extraordinary Senior Concierge brings that experience into a more personal kind of work: helping older adults remain independent, connected, and confident at home.

My Background

Experience That Shapes Every Visit

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a nursing degree and have spent the last 35 years in nursing, including critical care, acute care, long-term care, and managed care. I am also CPR certified.

That experience taught me how much thoughtful attention matters: listening carefully, keeping information organized, asking the next useful question, and noticing when something deserves a closer look. At Extraordinary, I bring those habits to concierge support — not as a substitute for a client’s healthcare providers, but as an experienced and steady person beside them.

Personal Experience

The Most Personal Care I Ever Gave Was at Home

Some of the most important care I have given was to my own family. I helped my father, mother, and stepmother remain in their homes as their needs changed. My father lived with Lewy body dementia. My mother faced COPD and mild dementia. My stepmother managed congestive heart failure and rheumatoid arthritis.

Each taught me that supporting someone at home involves much more than medical care. It is appointments, paperwork, groceries, conversations, decisions, household details, repeated phone calls, and the quiet work of preserving the person’s routines and dignity.

I am proud that my support helped each of them remain at home through the end of life. I also know what it feels like to carry the responsibility while wishing there were another trusted person who could take a few things off my plate. Extraordinary grew from that understanding.

The Name

Why “Extraordinary”?

The name is not a marketing invention. It belongs to my dad.

He had his own particular way of saying the word “extraordinary,” and I loved teasing him about it. It became a running joke between us — one that could still make us laugh right up until the end. I have the word tattooed on my arm in his handwriting.

When I decided to build a service for older adults and their families, there was only one name that felt right. It reminds me to approach each client as a person with a history, preferences, relationships, humor, and a life that still belongs to them.

Personal Practice

When You Call Extraordinary, You Get Me

This is an intentionally small, personal practice. I provide every visit myself. That allows me to know each client over time, understand what matters to them, and build the kind of consistency that cannot come from a rotating schedule of caregivers. Because that relationship matters, I begin with a discovery call and accept clients only when the service is genuinely appropriate.
